Too Much Drama

August 22, 2017

“To meet everything and everyone through stillness instead of mental noise is the greatest gift you can offer to the universe."

– Eckhart Tolle

Is your life full of drama?

According to the HeartMath Institute, drama drains your energy and makes it harder to maintain your resilience.

Drama happens on many levels. There is the initial drama during an actual event. More drama is created when you revisit the event or rehash it with your friends and colleagues. Sharing one’s reaction to drama on social media allows it to reverberate creating an environment of drama.

Inner drama is the mental and emotional processing that happens after an incident. It can amplify the draining of your energy as well and exacerbate the depletion your resilience. When we live in a state of inner drama we are more irritable, impatient and quick to judge. Remaining in this state negatively affects our health and our ability to make good decisions.

Using HeartMath® techniques you can re-pattern your response to the drama in your life.

You can encourage your heart to send coherent signals to your limbic brain. Research shows that if you practice an intelligent energy self-regulation tool called the Heart Lock-In Technique for 4 to 6 weeks, you will shift your physiology, create new and beneficial attitudes, and establish a new baseline of engagement with the world.

It’s like downloading a new operating system.

Heart Lock-In® Technique

  • Focus your attention in the area of the heart.

  • Imagine your breath is flowing in and out of your heart or chest area, breathing a little slower and deeper than usual.

  • Activate and sustain a regenerative feeling such as appreciation, care or compassion.

  • Radiate that renewing feeling to yourself and others

Practicing the Heart Lock-In Technique not only changes your physiology, it also affects those in your environment. By radiating a renewing feeling to yourself and others you can change the world.

We offer workshops that incorporate HeartMath® techniques. Contact us to learn more.
