Of rhythms, ritual and tradition

I recently had the pleasure to sit down with Day Schildkret, award-winning author, artist, ritualist, teacher and transformational catalyst behind the global Morning Altars movement.

His book, Morning Altars: A 7-Step Practice to Nourish Your Spirit through Nature, Art and Ritual, has long been a personal favorite of mine.

When I read his latest book, Hello, Goodbye: 75 Rituals for Times of Loss, Celebration and Change, I felt like I had been gifted a precious tool. It is a cookbook of ritual recipes that invites each of us to recognize the importance of consciously stepping through the thresholds of our lives.

Truly, I have been waiting for this book for 30 years.

My conversation with Day did not disappoint, as we we explored the power of rituals, how their rhythms and traditions offer us a gentle sense of stability in the face of uncertainty, and more.

I invite you to listen in. Watch the video below.
